Step-by-Step Instructions for BACON CRACK
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Place a wire rack on top.
  2. Lay the thick-cut bacon slices on the wire rack and bake for 15-20 minutes until crispy and golden brown.
  3. Remove bacon and let it cool, then crumble it into small bite-sized pieces.
  4. In a medium saucepan, melt the unsalted butter, stir in brown sugar, cayenne pepper, and vanilla extract. Simmer for about 5 minutes.
  5. Line a baking dish with parchment paper. Spread the crumbled bacon evenly in the dish.
