- In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and a splash of water. Cook for about 5 to 7 minutes, stirring frequently, until the beef is browned and fully cooked.
- Once the ground beef is cooked, remove it from heat and transfer it to a mixing bowl. Add toasted rice powder, chili flakes, lime juice, fish sauce, and white sugar. Toss everything together until well-coated.
- Gently fold chopped cilantro, sliced green onions, and diced shallots into the seasoned beef mixture. Mix well without over-mixing.
- Prepare your lettuce leaves by gently washing and drying them. Take one leaf and place a generous amount of the beef mixture into the center. Fold the sides over the filling and serve immediately.
Notes
Store leftover beef filling in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat in a skillet for best results.
