  • 1 sheet Puff Pastry Use homemade for the best flavor.
  • 1 large Egg For egg wash.
For the Filling
  • 8 oz Brie Cheese Rich and creamy to melt beautifully.
  • 1/2 cup Jam (Cranberry, Plum, or Cherry Recommended) Substitute with your favorite jam variety.
For Garnish (Optional)
  • 1 tbsp Fresh Thyme or Chives Adds color and herbal flavor.

Method
 

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Roll out chilled puff pastry to about 1/8-inch thickness and stamp out 2 to 3-inch circles.
  2. Chill the circles on a parchment-lined baking sheet for 10-15 minutes to keep them cold.
  3. Press a smaller cutter in the center of each circle to create a rim and poke holes for steam release.
  4. Whisk one egg and brush the outer edge of each circle with egg wash. Chill again for 10 minutes.
  5. Pipe or spoon jam into the center of each circle and top with small pieces of Brie.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown, then bake for an additional 5 minutes to melt the Brie.
  7. Let cool for a couple of minutes and garnish with thyme or chives if desired.

Notes

Best served fresh from the oven, but leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
