Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake tin with paper liners. In a bowl, mix cocoa powder, flour, baking soda, and salt.
  2. Cream together softened butter and brown sugar until fluffy. Gradually add dry ingredients to form batter.
  3. Scoop batter into the liners, filling them two-thirds full. Bake for 15-18 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool in tin for 10 minutes.
  4. Prepare vanilla buttercream by beating softened butter and powdered sugar until fluffy. Add heavy cream as needed for consistency.
  5. Pipe the buttercream onto cooled cupcakes creating a snow drift effect.
  6. Assemble snowmen using large marshmallows for heads, mini chocolate dots for faces, pretzel sticks for arms, and candy corn for noses.
  7. Chill cupcakes for 15 minutes if desired, then serve at room temperature.
