For the Stuffed Bread
- 4 eggs
- Salt, to taste
- 2–3 tablespoons sour cream
- 1 loaf of bread (preferably day-old)
- 5 cherry tomatoes, chopped
- 2 tablespoons ketchup or other sauce of choice
- ½ cup mozzarella cheese, grated
- 100g salami, sliced
- 60ml milk
- Black pepper, to taste
- 40g Parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 bunch spring onions, chopped
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the Bread: Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Cut the top off the bread loaf and hollow out the inside, leaving a sturdy shell.
- Make the Filling: In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, sour cream, salt, and black pepper. Stir in chopped cherry tomatoes, mozzarella, salami, Parmesan cheese, and spring onions.
- Assemble the Stuffed Bread: Spread ketchup or sauce inside the hollowed-out bread, then pour in the egg mixture.
- Bake: Place in the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the filling is set and golden brown on top.
- Garnish & Serve: Sprinkle with fresh parsley, slice, and serve warm.
